Moje říše je z tohoto světa

Miroslav Bambušek's original project draws on the work, little known in Czechia, of German writer Wolfgang Borchert, one of the first German authors to openly address the traumas of the Second World War. His work, though written in prose, carries a distinctive expressive poetry of bleakness — Borchert's young, embittered hero returns from war with an unhealable inner wound that has shattered all his ideals and dreams. The rhythm of his speech stutters, his thoughts lack logical connection, and his shattered nerves react absurdly to outside stimuli, ultimately giving way to a formless fear and anxiety.
