A members-only "Last Look" tour of From Monarchy to Modernity: Travel, Identity, & the Czechoslovak First Republic (1918–1938), led by curator Nicholas D. Lowry before the exhibition closes. The show explores travel posters from the two decades after Czechoslovakia's 1918 declaration of independence — created from the former lands of the Austro-Hungarian Empire — when tourism became a form of soft power, presenting the new republic abroad as a land of opportunity, beauty and progress.
