Danish post-punk band Iceage, led by Elias Rønnenfelt, have for nearly two decades been among the most striking names on Europe's alternative scene, known for their ability to keep pushing their own boundaries. Their new single Star shows the band at their most open and melodic yet — the frontman draws on the raw poetics that have accompanied the band from the start, this time charged with a strong theme of love. A pulsing rhythm is filled out with shimmering and raw guitars, moments of tension and soaring passages. Fans can also expect a selection of tracks from the five studio albums that defined the band's sound.
