Holy Fuck + Rattle

At a time when artificial intelligence can generate even rock bands, Holy Fuck feel more relevant than ever. Over the past two decades, the Canadian foursome has built a reputation as a timeless experimental outfit with an unmistakable sound — instead of loops, samples and presets, they keep their electronics on an improvised, DIY level, driven by the untamed energy of four musicians. Six years after their album Deleter, they follow up with a new record, Event Beat, blending shimmering synths, ambient textures and pulsing basslines with influences of punk-funk and krautrock. The evening opens with British duo Rattle, who distil the essence of post-punk down to just two drum kits and vocals.
