D Smack U: Courtney Barnett

Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist Courtney Barnett returns to Prague after nearly four years with her new album Creature of Habit, which captures her at a moment of letting go of rules and leaning more on instinct and attention to ordinary life. The record was made in Joshua Tree and Los Angeles, and with disarming honesty she sings about uncertainty and life changes. Live, she alternates between wry humour, personal confessions and guitar solos that have won her fans at festivals like Glastonbury, Primavera and Coachella. She also holds a Grammy nomination for her debut Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit.
