It portrays the social environment as a collapsing system in which relationships falter, where solitude can mean a reset, a new beginning, independence and strength — being alone does not necessarily mean being lonely, though people do become lonely when they stop seeing themselves as part of a whole. And is a symbol for connection: unity, or a place where people discover new horizons in forging relationships, unifying life's contradictions and leading toward a higher state of mutual understanding.
