Massimo Pupillo (Zu) & Thighpaulsandra (COIL) present: UREDDA

A new project by key members of COIL (Thighpaulsandra) and Zu (Massimo Pupillo). Keyboardist and vocalist Thighpaulsandra, a key member of COIL who has also played in Spiritualized and Julian Cope's bands, and Massimo Pupillo (Zu) joined forces for the first time in 2018, and the project has now grown into a full five-piece band. They perform in Prague as part of a tour promoting their debut album, due for release in autumn 2026 on the House of Mythology label. The band blends the musical worlds of its members into a fresh sound echoing post-punk and new wave, complemented by unmistakably British vocals and Thighpaulsandra's synthesisers — a sound somewhere between Japan and Rain Tree Crow on one side and This Heat or the Factory Records aesthetic on the other, spiced with prog rock and contemporary electronica.
