Møster!

The Norwegian psych-jazz band Møster! is led by saxophonist Kjetil Møster, joined by guitarist Hans Magnus "Snah" Ryan (Motorpsycho), bassist Nikolai Hængsle (Elephant9) and drummer Kenneth Kapstad (Spidergawd). Formed in 2010, Møster! blend free jazz, psychedelic rock, electronic abstraction and film sound design; the intensity of their improvisations recalls Coltrane and Miles Davis, filtered through the raw energy of Can and Soft Machine and the hypnotic jams of Fela Kuti. Over more than fifteen years of playing together, they have developed a distinctive sound that floats in a musical universe of its own.
