Intro to Ableton Lab: Building Chords, Basslines, & Melodies

This eight-week workshop series teaches the fundamentals of Ableton Live, covering sampling, sound design, looping, drum programming, and turning ideas into finished DJ edits and original tracks. Each lecture is followed by two hours of lab time, when participants can work alongside each other, exchange ideas, and test their material on the club's sound system. Beginners are encouraged to commit to the full series, though drop-ins are welcome for individual sessions. It is hosted by The New York Record Club for the Advancement of the Arts together with JP Solis, a co-founder of the Ableton-certified training school Dubspot.
