First Friday: An Evening with Spilata at Poster House

A live performance by Spilata, the project of a Brooklyn-based jazz vocalist, songwriter, composer and educator, presented alongside Act Black: Posters from Black American Stage & Screen. Spilata blends jazz, house, disco and other influences drawn from Black American music and performance traditions, and has performed at venues including Birdland, Minton's Playhouse and Dizzy's Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, as well as stages across Europe, Asia and Oceania.
