My Realm Is from This World

Miroslav Bambušek’s authorial project draws on the writing of German playwright Wolfgang Borchert, one of the first German authors to speak openly about the trauma of the Second World War. Its young protagonist returns from the conflict with an incurable inner wound, his ideals shattered and his speech fragmented by fear. The production explores war, dislocation and the difficulty of returning to ordinary life after destructive experience.
